How do I unlock my account?

ADSelfService Plus verifies your identity though multiple authentication techniques before you unlock your accounts.

Note:Your admin decides which set of users--based on OUs and groups--can unlock accounts using ADSelfService Plus.
  • Access ADSelfService Plus through a web browser. Click Account locked down? on the application screen.
  • Account unlock via web-browser

  • Enter your Username. Select a domain from the drop-down menu. If your admin chose not to display the domain field, it will not be visible to you. You can simply continue to the next step.
  • Enter the CAPTCHA verification code and click Continue.
  • In the window that opens, select the desired verification method, enter the CAPCTHA code, and click Continue.

How do I unlock my account from the logon screen?

You can also access the self-service portal right from the place where you realize that your machine logon account have locked.

ADSelfService Plus allows you to launch its self-service portal from your machine running on Windows, macOS, or Linux. The login agent is not a complete substitute for the web portal, but allows you to reset passwords and unlock accounts from the comfort of your own systems.

Important: Your administrator should have deployed the login agent in your machine.

Windows machines:

  • Access the login agent located in the change password or login screen.
  • Search for a Reset Password/Account Unlock button and click it.

  • In the window that opens, click Account Unlock, verify your identity via the enforced multi-factor authentication techniques, and unlock your account.

Linux machines:

  • Search for a Reset Password/Account Unlock button and click it.

  • Click Unlock Account to free your account from the lock.
  • Self-service portal for Linux

macOS machines:

  • Press CONTROL+SHIFT+EJECT or CONTROL+SHIFT+POWER depending on the macOS version.
  • Search for a Reset Password/Account Unlock button and click it.
  • Login agent for macOS

  • You will now be able to unlock your account.

How do I unlock my account from my mobile device?

ADSelfService Plus allows you to unlock accounts from via your Android and iOS mobile devices.

  • In the ADSelfService Plus mobile app, tap Account Unlock.
  • Enter your Username. Select a domain from the drop-down menu, and select Next.
    Note: If your administrator chose not to display the domain field, it will not be visible to you. You can simply continue to the next step.
  • Verify your identity based on the multi-factor verification methods configured by your admin.
  • Select Unlock and finish.

How do I unlock my enterprise application accounts?

ADSelfService Plus allows you to securely unlock your enterprise application accounts.

To unlock your enterprise application account, including Office 365, G Suite, and Salesforce, simply select your respective account in the Unlock Account page of ADSelfService Plus' mobile app and verify your identity. You can also synchronize the account unlock status across all connected enterprise applications.

Important:

  • Before you can unlock your enterprise application accounts, you need to link your Windows AD account with it. Click here to learn more.
